TODAY'S EXCERPT:
What are life's unnumber'd cares
Sorrow, torment, passing measure?
O'er my short-lived pains and fears
Surely ruleth Thy good pleasure.
Boundless is Thy Love for me
Boundless then my trust shall be.
from a Hymn the first line of which begins: Love of love and Light of light.
Jesus said, "I am the Way and the Truth and the Life" (John 14:16) Here He uses a figure of speech. The figure is called "Hendiatris" or, "Three For One". This means that 3 words are used to say one overall thing: "I am the True and Living Way"; If you want to Live - even Forever - Follow HIM!

Jesus Christ is risen today, Alleluia!
our triumphant holy day, Alleluia!
who did once upon the cross, Alleluia!
suffer to redeem our loss. Alleluia!
Hymns of praise then let us sing, Alleluia!
unto Christ, our heavenly King, Alleluia!
who endured the cross and grave, Alleluia!
sinners to redeem and save. Alleluia!
But the pains which he endured, Alleluia!
our salvation have procured, Alleluia!
now above the sky he's King, Alleluia!
where the angels ever sing. Alleluia!
Easter Hymn (Lyra Davidica, 1708;
arranged by William Henry Monk, 1823-1889)
6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. 1 PETER 5 (KJV)
