God gets jealous when we don't abide (remain, continue or stay) in him.
1John 4v14-15 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God
James 4:4 Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God.
James 4:5 Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?
