The verse used for today's entry in Streams In The Desert daily devotional is Hebrews 3:14 which says,

For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end.

What is the beginning of our confidence? Is it not that in-Christ God forgives sins and grants the power to overcome the world and stop sinning by our Faith? Is it not that God will sustain, nurture, guide, instruct, teach, protect, correct, mature and complete this New Life being Faithful to His Word e.g., sending the Holy Spirit, the Helper/Comforter to be with us always and lead us into all Truth - never to forsake us?

I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. John 14:16-18

Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come. JOHN 16:13
